Sports, Fitness and Recreation
Programs in this area develop fitness, positive use of leisure time, skills for stress management, appreciation for the environment, and social skills.
Team sports programs such as basketball, baseball, softball and soccer are open to all Club members. Participants are taught the value of teamwork, good sportsmanship and discipline. Teams compete with each other locally and regionally.
USSSA Basketball / League Basketball / Cal Ripken Baseball
Competitive leagues in basketball and baseball connect players, parents and coaches. Our program management approach includes advice for coaches from the first practice to the final game, ideas on creating a positive and fun environment for youth and tips for players ranging from skills to sportsmanship ... as well as a requirement that players maintain academic averages and participate in service learning.
Additional activities include: table tennis, board games, billiards, Wii games, outdoor field trips, and personal fitness training.
