Johnston After-School Enrichment Program

Our 2012-2013 after-school program will start on September 4th of this year. You can register by printing the application online or meeting Ms. DeDe at Johnston Elementary meet the teacher day on August 15th from 1-3pm.

The mission of the Johnston After-School Enrichment Program is to empower students to develop their character and leadership skills and to become responsible citizens in a challenging and rapidly changing community.

The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club partnered with Johnston Elementary over six years ago to help do just that.  This program is designed to combine an affordable after-school enrichment program with nationally accredited programs from Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Our program was put in place so that the students of Johnston Elementary have greater access to quality programs and services.  Our goals for our Johnston program are to expand and to provide an opportunity for every child to achieve academic and social success.

Currently the cost for children in this program is just $150 for an entire school year.  It is our desire to reach out to an area in need and provide an affordable, quality program where kids can effectively grow and learn.
