The Salvation Army of Anderson's 2011 Angel Tree Christmas Program
The Salvation Army will begin taking Christmas Applications at our 112 Tolly Street office location October 17 through October 28, excluding Saturdays and Sundays. Applications will be taken from 9:00 am to 11:45 am and 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
Applicants with children between the ages of birth to 13 years will need to bring the following documentation with them:
- Picture ID for the person making the application
- Birth Certificates for all children
- Proof of income for the last month for all members in household
- Proof of expenses for the last month
- If applicant is not the birth parent, guardianship must be proven (notary statements, income tax documents or court documents) showing that you have taken care of the child for this year.
- Any other pertinent documentation you feel needs to be considered.
Bills must be in the name of person seeking assistance. Examples of Bills:
- Rent/Mortgage
- Electric/Gas/Water/Phone/Cable/Water
- Medical bill you pay each month
- Child Support/Alimony
- Auto Payment/Insurance
- Medical Insurance
- Everything you pay out during month
Examples of Income (for all members of household):
- Job Wages for the last month
- Social Security Benefits/Disability
- Child Support/Alimony
- Food Stamps/FI
- Utility Checks
- Printout statements for Section 8 Benefits or Housing Authority
