Everyone Deserves a Second Chance

The Salvation Army has 3 Family (Thrift) Stores operating in Aiken County. These centers rely on donations of clothing and household goods from the community, volunteer and employed staff, and the support of the general public. Proceeds from these stores are used to fund social assistance programs in our community.

The funds from these store fund our Red Shield Homeless Shelter, Soup Kitchen, Boys & Girls Club, Senior Citizens Programs, Youth Character Building Programs and our Social Services Office.  In all cases, 100% of Family Store proceeds help directly where it is needed in the community.

While Salvation Army Family Stores are often seen as a place to find great bargains, it is easy to see that they do much more. Not only do they provide goods at low cost for those that truly need it, they also allow individuals a place to work as they begin to put the pieces of their life back together.

How Can I Help the Family Store Program

There are plenty of ways to help out the Family Store program. Primarily, these stores are constantly accepting donations. Please contact your us to determine what specific needs they may have.

You may also wish to volunteer your time. Again, contacting your local Salvation Army unit will certainly be appreciated and will give you the best indication of what will be expected of you as a volunteer.
