Spread the Christmas Spirit
Angel Tree: November 24–December 14
You see them at the malls or in your work place: Angel Trees adorned with the names of thousands of children in Charlotte who need your help. This year you're helping to give joy in the form of new clothes, shoes, and toys to more than 12,000 children.
Magical Toy Drive: November 24–December 14
When parents register their children, we promise to assist them. However, not every child is adopted off an Angel Tree. In these cases, we rely on toys you provide through the Magical Toy Drive. This helps us stock "Toyland" at our Christmas Center so that we can fill every child's wish. Many thanks to WCNC that help make this possible.
Silver Bells: November 24–December 14
The sister program to Angel Tree, Silver Bells, gives you a way to care for elderly neighbors (60+) who live on a tight, fixed income. They also need your help with clothing, shoes, toiletries, and daily essentials such as small appliances and food.
Red Kettles: November 21–December 24
Be a part of a Christmas tradition. Sign up for a shift to ring a bell at one of our red kettle locations. Or pitch in by hosting an online red kettle (companies and groups often compete).
More than 2,500 volunteers help to make The Salvation Army's Christmas Assistance programs a success each year. We need you! As a volunteer, you might help us, decorate the Christmas Center, man an Angel Tree location, sort donations, or pitch in during distribution. Choose a day and time, and come join in the fun!
