How to Help
Center of Hope
Thank you for your interest in getting involved at the Center of Hope, our emergency shelter for homeless women and children. We have plenty of ways to help available, everything from preparing a meal in our kitchen, to mentoring children in our Boys & Girls Club, to helping women write resumes and learn computer skills, or collecting items for women and children in need.
Please note: Many of our residents are children who attend various schools throughout the community and protecting their confidentiality is a priority for The Salvation Army. For that reason we do not allow minors, individuals and youth groups, to volunteer at The Salvation Army Center of Hope. We would love for your youth group to volunteer by conducting toiletry drives, linen drives (blankets, sheets, towels, washcloths), diaper drives to benefit the women and children at the shelter. Thank you for your understanding.
